Me vs. Maradona vs. Elvis (Acoustic) // Brand New
Brass buttons on your coat hold the cold
In the shape of a heart that they cut out of stone
You’re using all your looks that you’ve thrown from the start
If you let me have my way I swear I’ll tear you apart

Brand New // Sowing Season
“Was losing all my friends.
Was losing them to drinking and to driving.
Was losing all my friends, but I got them back.
I am on the mend.
At least now I can say that I am trying.
And I hope you will forget things I still lack.”

One thing she told was was to wear hats when I am just sitting around the house watching tv/on the computer and to wear gloves as a form of a physical barrier to stop me from pulling. And I feel like that is the best advise I have ever gotten. Though, sometimes I wish I could just stop on my own, you know?
I know the feeling. I feel like I will be able to just stop by using my will but my will is not present in my subconscious, and I usually do it when i am daydreaming. That or incredibly anxious, and my will is very weak when i am overwhelmed and anxious. I found that a hat is the best way because i need my hands often. I have this big furry hat that covers my eyebrows pretty well. I hope things are going well for you. One thing I can tell you is not to be ashamed. That will slow the process. Own it and recognize it as much as you can, then it will be on your mind more often in a positive manner which will be more motivation to stop.
